Yesterday, whilst browsing for some boots on GILT I found these nice ones from Belle by Sigerson Morrison (above). But now that I have racked up evidence of GILT’s questionable pricing situation, I decided to do a quick search before ordering.

In about five seconds I found the same boots on the actual Belle site (below), for $25 less than what GILT was selling them for. Oh, and since there’s a shop in the city I wouldnt have to pay their overpriced shipping and handling fees.

After work I went down to Nolita and tried them on, ultimately deciding I just couldn’t love the crepe sole and thus leaving empty-handed. I was super thankful not to have purchased them online (and paid shipping back and forth and retun fees and all that) and especially not from a site that routinely exaggerates the pricing of its merchandise. I am now officially breaking up with GILT.
