So. I had a free slot this afternoon in my schedule and ran up to Lincoln Ctr to check out the Falguni & Shane Peacock Spring 2013 show.

  1. Thank you for the invitation, my 2nd row seat was amazing. Also the giftbags with nail polish were awesome.
  2. What the fuck. Half the collection was a sad rip-off of Mary Katrantzou’s groundbreaking photorealistic printed dressesfrom Spring 2011. It’s one thing for some high street brand to knock something off, but for a designer to present a copy of another designer’s work, two years later, at your runway show during NYFW??? No.
  3. The other half of the looks were sort of like if The Blondes, Alexander McQueen from a bunch of seasons ago, and Roberto Cavalli got together and had some dress babies.
  4. I wish I could say, oh but the beading was great or the construction was beautiful! I can’t.

(p.s. that top photo is obvs a collage to cram more looks into one post)
