Pencil jump in Valentino!

Valentino Spring 2012 Haute Couture…. that all-white perforated gown at top right… is possibly one of my favorites ever.

Much of this collection echoed familiar Valentino silhouettes and lots of soft florals per usual. I’ve chosen what I think are the standouts. (Images via Vogue.com)

Perhaps this spring, floral, lacey loveliness from Valentino will cheer me on a dreary morning?

In case you prefer Karlie in Valentino for your sexy dress with a cut-out on a cover.. here she is for Vogue Italia December 2011 shot by Steven Meisel of course.

In case someone ever wants to marry me…. this is what I’ll be wearing! Valentino Spring 2012, shot by Garance.

Abby Brothers by Nick Routzen for Elle Mexico.

All this fall fashion? Nearly as hot as photographer Nick Routzen. Swoooon!

There’s a touch of Medieval Italian princess at Valentino for spring (a continuation perhaps of the fall haute couture?), opening the show with openwork tunic shifts and closing the show with reembroidered floral gowns so gossamer light you envision Ophelia drifting down the runway. In between the knee-length dresses were usually A-line, and there were stunning looks such as the white lace blouse with black skirt (bottom left) and handpainted silks with flowers dashed across them. Pink perfection at Valentino. Just blue/purple enough, just bright enough, just soft enough.. really a perfect shade of pink, like a good camelia color. Done simply in a strapless floor-length version, or super femme in lace with plenty of transparency. I’ll take both please! (Images via fashiongonerogue)

Valentino Spring 2012- MariaGrazia and PierPaolo sent me into a daydream with these wonderful romantic red gowns. Equal parts sensual and ladylike. Very DarkLamb. (Images via fashiongonerogue)
