Close-up. The not-quite-opened irises really make it special.
Liam ordered some flowers… we spoke about pastels with some pops of contrast in there to weird it up a bit. JilSander Fall 2012 runway show flowers were cited as mood-board material. I went with Ocean Song roses, German Irises and Scabiosa blossoms.
Another flower photo sent to me this evening!
Mike asked: “Hey. These bushes were all over the cape and vineyard. Most were trimmed as buses, but some were more like small trees. They were in these mop clusters like a hydrangea, but don’t seem like hydrangea by the flower itself or the leaves. Any ideas?”
Answer: le rhododendron
